Keenan Zeller

How did you get to Telluride? I was born and raised in this beautiful mountain town. My parents moved to Telluride in 1978 right after they got married, my entire life was spent in the mountains, until I went to Fort Collins where I attended Colorado State University. After living in Fort Collins for 10 years I decided to move back to the mountains I know as home.

What’s your astrological sign?  Taurus sun sign + Capricorn rising.

What brings you the most joy? Creating, whether it's playlists for class, sequencing, baking, ceramics, really anything that allows me to be my most creative self. And dogs - any and all, I am a huge dog lover.

Who or what influences your teaching style?  I have been practicing yoga since I was 12, and I am very lucky for the amazing exposure I have experienced as a student. I have been lucky enough to have some incredible teachers in my life to learn and to grow from. I am not only certified in yoga, but in barre as well - my fitness background gives my classes a little more structure and helps me keep them pretty physical.

How do you apply practice to your life? Patience. Whether it's patience with yourself or with others I believe a lot of the problems in the world would be fixed with patience and understanding. I try my best to take the practice of patience and understanding into all corners of my life to truly be accepting of myself and others.

About Keenan: I have many different skills, my friends call me the "Jill of all trades". As a creative person I love staying busy and exploring the different sides of my personality. My teaching style varies quite a bit, which I love because I never get tired of teaching the same way. You can expect an upbeat challenging class that relies on the beat of the music to keep you moving and offer motivation to try your best. I will always be your cheerleader, whether that means cheering you on to take a break and honoring your body where it's at or pushing you to get deeper into your practice and really in tune with your body.
